one69a's aim is to host sessions to inspire and educate young people. Through hands on learning and experimentation, our work promotes the importance of confidence and self worth gained through creativity. Participants explore their capacity for ideas and development and nurture their individuality. The sessions provide young people with creative practical skills and knowledge to raise aspirations for their future.
Alongside screen printing and printing techniques as the core practice in our sessions, we can also incorporate fashion, photography, electronics, and media. We also have access to Apple Mac laptops where we can work with the latest software.
As well as single sessions we can also formulate projects that can span over several weeks. These longer projects can culminate in a showcase or exhibition which we are able to host. This is particularly beneficial to students as they have the chance to display their work and reflect on their achievements and progression.
We like to provide a bespoke service so each session can be tailored to suit the requirements and needs of your group. If you would like us to work alongside an element of a curriculum or a project we can discuss what is appropriate for you....Otherwise you can leave it to us to theme the sessions.
All of our facilitators are trained in various creative practices, this means we can offer a variety of options in our sessions. Are you interested in soundscapes, projection art, fashion, experimental film? do you have an idea for a workshop but not sure how to put it into action? Please get in touch, we can make your ideas happen!
All of our artists and facilitators have a full CRB check and our sessions are held at the Zion Arts Centre in Hulme or we can arrange to deliver sessions at your venue.
Please contact Sally Gilford on 07834 164 331 or one69a@live.com, we would love to hear from you!
